The failures inside of K-12 schooling are a hidden cause of the erosion of our democracy.

WHY?

Our nation’s children are in the bottom third of the world in literacy rates, and are subjected to unsafe, chaotic, and abusive experiences at school.

The sources of these problems are highly nuanced and complex, and are poorly understood by our elected officials.

This allows our leaders to get away with rampant corruption, greed, arrogance, and apathy, resulting in poor learning outcomes which renders our nation unable to effectively self-govern.

Our world is BIZARRE, and is run by politicians instead of educational experts who do not have any formal education or classroom experience.

Our superintendents and site leaders also lose their tenure once they move out of the classroom, making them unable to speak resulting in a tragic flaw; the only ones with the power to fix this mess have profound conflicts of interest.

The piece-meal, convoluted, and absent governance in our world, also means that no one is holding them accountable.

The problems ARE bad, but WE see that it needs to be STRENGTHENED, and staffed by current veteran teachers—not closed.

We have the REAL solutions…and can explain why it is necessary, and what is on the line if we don’t.

Who Are We?

We are current veteran teachers who have created this podcast to allow teachers and scholars the opportunity to describe the existential problems in K-12 education, and grow our grassroots movement to save and preserve public schooling in America.

Veteran tenured teachers are the only ones with the knowledge and ability to call out the waste, ignorance, abuse, and apathy that is eroding our nation’s standing in the world.

This podcast is a space for all ALL K-12 teachers, scholars, and experts to come together to define the systemic problems we face, provide our essential knowledge to the American people, and work together to form our call to action to the K-12 subcommittee in congress to fix this mess.

Over the course of our coverage of the messes inside of K-12 education, we make the case for our solution framework, which creates a national professional body of teachers, and allows us to lead our profession as all other credentialed professionals in America today.
